ITINERARY: 4 DAY MOROCCO STUDENT TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO MERZOUGA DESERT
DAY 1: MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS – AIT BENHADDOU – BOUMALNE DADES
On the first day of the 4 day Morocco student tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert, our driver will pick up your group in the morning from your accommodation in Marrakech. The road soon climbs into the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka pass, with stops along the way to take in the sweeping scenery.
Mid-route, we visit Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah that has served as the backdrop for numerous film productions. We then continue through Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the Sahara, before ending the day in the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2: DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA DESERT
After breakfast, we head to the Todra Gorges, one of the most memorable stops on the route. Towering rock walls rise on either side of a narrow canyon floor that students can walk right through.
By afternoon, the landscape opens onto the golden Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga. As the sun starts to set, students climb onto their camels for a ride into the desert and arrive at a traditional Berber camp. The evening brings a home-style Moroccan dinner, campfire music, and a night under the stars. Overnight in a Sahara desert camp.
DAY 3: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – DRAA VALLEY – OUARZAZATE
Wake up early to watch the sunrise break over the dunes, a highlight most students remember long after the trip ends. After breakfast, the group returns by camel or 4×4 and continues toward Rissani, known for its lively local market.

DAY 4: OUARZAZATE – TIZI N’TICHKA – MARRAKECH
